Overview

Lake City Film Club is seeking local freelance production talent, independent operators, and assistant crew members to support upcoming seasonal video shoot blocks in the Clinton County area.

We are actively collecting rates and credentials for crew members capable of handling non-technical set operations, equipment logistics, and media support.

Available Scopes of Work

1. Set Grip Operations (Non-Technical)

  • Safely loading, unloading, and staging production gear and heavy cases (50+ lbs).
  • Setting up C-stands, flags, nets, and securing lighting/shaping equipment under direction.
  • Maintaining strict on-set safety protocols and managing cable runs to prevent trip hazards.

2. Audio Department Assistance

  • Assisting with field sound package setup and teardown.
  • Managing and wrapping audio cables, monitoring set noise levels, and assisting with microphone placement.

Contractor Requirements

  • Must operate as an independent freelance entity, sole proprietor, or established business.
  • Must provide independent transportation to and from active set locations in the Clinton County area.
  • Must possess the physical stamina for extended production days, heavy lifting, and outdoor field conditions.
  • Punctuality, a professional work ethic, and a safety-first mindset are mandatory.

Special Notice: Dual-Role Availability (Optional)

For independent operators seeking a higher volume of local work, this commercial crew engagement may be structured alongside a separate, non-commercial private property maintenance agreement with the producer.

If engaged for both roles, the schedule will operate on a strict alternating, week-by-week basis (averaging 20 hours per week during active blocks). Scopes of work will remain entirely segregated by calendar week and will require separate, independent invoicing. Full details regarding this dual-structure will be provided during the initial rate review.

How to Submit Your Rates

In compliance with New York State independent contractor and freelance regulations, a formal written contract will be executed for all accepted project blocks prior to the start of any work.

To submit your availability, please email campfireway@gmail.com with the subject line “Crew Submission: Project 7-01-26” and include:

  1. Your full name, phone number, and location.
  2. A digital copy of your business card, service flyer, or a brief summary of your set/labor experience.
  3. Your standard freelance hourly rate or production day rate.
